Fractured
This film is about a family who after a terrible accident wound up at a hospital. After the wife and daughter go missing in the ER the man decides to conduct his own investigation and convinces himself that the hospital is hiding a big secret.
When i first watched this movie i was instantly intrigued, as there is a queasy sense of foreboding attached to the nervy Netflix thriller. This is partly because we know something sinister is going to happen but mostly because we have never been here before and we have a good idea where it is headed. However, as the movie advances we are hit with a shocking and mind-bending ending that tops off the movie and leaves the audience spooked with disbelief.
The overall purpose of this psychological thriller is to showcase the amazing power of the mind and how it can shield you from reality when injured, showing the deception you have over yourself. This main feature is why the movie is so popular and loved by most if not all of its viewers and why it leaves people shocked and inquisitive after watching it.
The micro-features used in this movie, such as cinematography, performance and mis-en-scene makes the movie what it is. One reason for this is the use of cinematography the zoomed in moments and the way the flashbacks are filmed adds a lot more suspense and tension to the movie which is good for the audience.
Another reason would be the performance, this is because the emotion and concern that the actors are able to convey to us allows the audience to feel more connected and allows empathy with the characters in the film.
A final reason why the micro features are so important in the movie is because of the mis-en-scene. This is because their wardrobe and the location has an impact of distress and puts the audience in a place with the movie characters to allow them to understand what the actors are actually going through.
This is my overall review of this movie and i definitely recommend it.
